Sharjah24: As part of the field visits that enhance cooperation in community service, a delegation from the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) visited Al Rahmaniya Suburb. The delegation was received by Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department, and Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Department, and a number of officials in suburban affairs., with the aim of discussing cooperation,
The SCFA’s delegation was headed by Dr. Khawla Al Mulla, Secretary-General of the SCFA, in the presence of Eman Rashid, Director of the Health Education Department, Hanadi Al Yafei, Director of the Child Safety Department (CSD), Dr. Hessa Al Ghazal, Executive Director of the Sharjah Child Friendly Office (SCFO), and Muhammad Al Shaer, Advisor to the Department of Family Development Centers and the media team of the Cultural and Media Office of the Council.
Commenting on this, Dr. Khawla Al Mulla has expressed her keenness with the meeting which aims to strengthen ways of cooperation with the institutions of the Emirate of Sharjah and to achieve the maximum benefit from the capabilities of these institutions, contributing in promoting various services to the families. She has further stressed that this translates the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, in achieving the stability of the child and the family through integration between the relevant institutions.
The Chairman of the department praised the council’s call to enhance cooperation between the two sides to achieve common goals, looking forward to strengthen the exchange of experiences, aiming to promote the services of the government and individuals in this society.
Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi has underscored the remarkable role of Al Rahmaniya Suburb, reviewing its establishments as a unique experience in the area and stressing that it has become one of the most active councils in the emirate that highlights population issues.
Hanadi Al Yafei, Director of the Child Safety Department (CSD) spoke about the new project "Kanaf" or the child's house, a project that was prepared two years ago to be the first project that sheds light on the abused children, ensuring their safe return to his homes, in cooperation with the the efforts of several concerned institutions.
Dr. Hessa Al Ghazal added that the Emirate of Sharjah, after obtaining the international title of "Child-Friendly City", requires great efforts to support the child and the mother, shedding light on the need to a comprehensive system that reflects the emirate’s achievements at the state, regional and global levels.
