Sharjah24: Hayawa Suburb Council (HSC) of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD), honoured on Thursday morning a group of volunteers who contributed with their efforts to enrich the council’s social work and enhance its communication with families.
The ceremony, which was held at the suburb's headquarters in the city of Khorfakkan, was attended by His Excellency Khaled Ahmed Hassan Buhandi, Chairman of the Hayawa Suburb Council, council members, honorees, and a group of invitees.
The ceremony reflected the suburb’s strategy of enhancing women’s roles, especially in the field of volunteering and supporting the renaissance of the state.
Commenting on this, Khaled Ahmed Hassan Buhandi, accompanied by council members, honoured the volunteers and praised their roles and the great efforts in developing the goals of Hayawa Suburb Council and its communication with the local community, within the framework of the goals and objectives of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department.
In his speech, Khaled Ahmed Hassan Buhandi has expressed his thanks and appreciation to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the "Mother of the Nation", extending the praise to Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA), lauding their constant efforts in empowering the Emirati women at different levels.
He has further highlighted the remarkable role of the Emirati women, stressing that they follow the path of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, achieving his vision to serve the future of the UAE.
In turn, the volunteers expressed their feelings of pride as Emirati women to achieve their excellence in the volunteer work, thanking the Council for supporting them at all areas.
