Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa bin Musabeh Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities Affairs, Agriculture, and Livestock (DMAAL) attended the first meeting of the Municipal Council of Sharjah for the 17th annual term, in order to enhance the existing cooperation with the municipal councils, in response to the invitation of His Excellency Salem Ali Salem Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Municipal Council, and members of the Municipal Council. The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality.
His Excellency thanked the Sharjah Municipal Council for inviting him to attend the opening and praised the proposals and initiatives submitted by the Sharjah Municipal Council committees during the previous annual term, stressing that the Department is coordinating with all government departments and agencies to study the implementation of these initiatives.
During the meeting, His Excellency Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, former director general of the Municipality, was honored. His Excellency Khalifa Al Tunaiji expressed his thanks and appreciation to Al Tarifi for his efforts in the municipality. He also praised Al Tarifi’s distinguished efforts to ensure the work in the municipality, noting his continuous role at all levels to improve level of services provided to the public.
