Sharjah 24: The "6th UAE Women Writers Forum", under the patronage of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) in Sharjah, continued its activities for the third day in a row.
Nujoom Alghanem held the second session on the evening of the forum’s third day, titled "Creativity has Many Doors", at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah, and the poet Salha Obaid Hassan, in the presence of Salha Ghabish, Chairperson of the Cultural and Media Office of SCFA, and many critics and intellectuals, moderated the session.

Salha Obaid stated that Nujoom Alghanem is an artist who combines art with the film industry. She is a poet full of feeling and patriotism, as she moves between different worlds through her artwork, including the film she made about the Emirati artist Hassan Sharif, with whom she founded "Aqawas Group" in the 1980s.

She added that Nujoom and many artists are working on their projects, building and refining themselves for about 35 years, and that led to an accumulation of experiences.

She confirmed that Nujoom did not stop writing poetry, but she stopped publishing it because the owners of publishing houses deal with creative works financially, which she believes is an insult to innovators.

Then She moved to talk about Nujoom’s documentaries, such as the documentary "Dove", which took her a long time to prepare, as she was often rejected, stressing that choosing people in documentaries and reaching them is a very difficult issue because they are usually exceptional people, and she sometimes relied on friends and acquaintances to reach them. This confirms that writing is much easier than preparing for the film.

At the end of the session, there were interventions from the audience, expressing their admiration for all the works of Alghanem stars.

The Cultural and Media Office of the SCFA also held a morning session entitled "New Voices: Women Writers Throwing in the Stars", at the Literary Café at Sharjah Corniche, in the presence of Salha Obaid Ghabish, and several Emirati female writers.

The Emirati writer Najeba Al Rifai moderated the session with the participation of two young writers, Arwa Al Siyabi, a writer of short stories, and Fatima Abdullah Al Taraban, who writes in various literary forms such as poetry, novels, and short stories.

The session discussed how the two writers drew literary attention and the role of individuals and establishments in supporting their careers and its importance in honing their talents. They stressed the importance of reading for people in general, and for writers in particular, to gain knowledge and to enhance the Arabic language. They also touched on the importance of attending literary workshops and meeting expertise to benefit from the advice of those who preceded them in this field.
