Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) and the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah (UoS) signed a cooperation agreement to offer a diploma in child protection to provide participants with basic knowledge and skills in child protection.
The agreement also aims to enhance cooperation between them and to continue developing and serving all segments of society.
Afaf Al Marri, Head of the SSSD, indicated that this agreement stems from the department's strategy that aims to qualify and prepare national human cadres for child protection, noting that UoS is the best in achieving these goals.
Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of UoS, welcomed this agreement and stated that the university continues its progress in accordance to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as it plays a major role in developing the local community and forming a permanent partnerships with the sponsors of its programmes.
