The Council won the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work in the category of “best government entity that initiates volunteer work”, and was placed 6th in the 18th edition of the award.
The Council expressed its happiness with this award, which translates the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish councils to help in community service.
Majid Al Junaid, Chairman of the Muwaileh Suburb Council, pointed out that the award is characterised by its supporting and motivating criteria for introducing initiatives to serve the community in all fields and to consolidate the best professional practices in the voluntary service sector.
He stated that the award is a positive incentive for the Council to continue presenting its programmes and work with the Sharjah Government and with suburb families to enhance services for the community.
