Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) launched the 5th cycle of the Financial Performance Excellence Awards (FPEA) 2021, to appreciate the efforts of various sectors in supporting the government by raising the level of efficiency in managing resources and preserving public money.
The nomination for the Award will start from August 22, 2021 until December 23, 2021, through the award website. The winners will be announced at the beginning of 2022.
The award is set to honour government, independent, Emiri and educational entities, as well as individuals working in government financial sectors, based on their excellent financial management.
The launch of the award’s introductory workshops, which took place at the theatre of the Sharjah Noble Qur’an Academy, to financial departments of Sharjah entities, were presented by Nasser Kashwani, Secretary-General of the FPEA, Hassan Pasha, Director of the Decision Support Office in SFD, and Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department in SFD.
Waleed Al Sayegh, General Director of SFD, stressed that the award aims to develop public finance in Sharjah, and to raise the level of institutional and individual creativity and quality performance in accordance with the best international financial practices.
The award includes 17 categories within three levels: Outstanding institutions, Outstanding projects, and Outstanding individuals.
