Sharjah24: Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) and Sharjah Islamic Bank have recently launched a service for charging and paying the transaction fees of government agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah, through the Emirates ID card and through the bank’s ATMs, provided that the service is completed in all the bank’s devices before the end of next August, across UAE.
Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at the Sharjah Finance Department, confirmed that the Sharjah government was a pioneer at the local and regional levels in accepting the ID card as a preferred method for paying and collecting fees for transactions and government services in the emirate, out of its keenness to facilitate customers and enable them to obtain services.
She pointed out that the department now provides wide options for paying fees, achieving flexibility and security, including the smart receipt system "Tahseel" card, credit and debit cards, and global digital payment wallets Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, in addition to payment through websites, adding that the department will continue developing its systems and improving its services to enhance the efficiency of the financial system in the Emirate.
Walid Al Amoudi, Head of Digital Banking Services at Sharjah Islamic Bank, thanked the Central Finance Department for its confidence in the bank and its continuous cooperation with it, to serve Sharjah government customers, facilitate them, and overcome any obstacles they might face in payment operations.
Al Amoudi praised the cooperation between government agencies in the emirate and Sharjah Islamic Bank, noting that the bank has all the digital components and capabilities that keep pace with the changes and challenges of the times due to the increasing demand for developed digital services, thus facilitating public access to all government services.
