Sharjah24: The Department of Islamic Affairs (DIA) in Sharjah has completed the first phase of printing the new Hijri calendar for the year 1443, according to the timings of the Emirate of Sharjah and its suburbs, aiming to distribute it to all the mosques of the emirate, departments, bodies, government institutions, companies and the public, with the beginning of the new Hijri year, which falls on Tuesday.
The Hijri calendar, being printed with stylish typography that promotes the noble Islamic values, provides the dates of official holidays and various occasions, especially religious ones, as well as the Gregorian year with its multiple occasions.
The Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah provides, through the pages of the calendar that are printed in an elegant and attractive way, the best religious, doctrinal, social and cultural information, with the unremitting efforts of a group of specialists, contributing the significance of the Hijri calendar as part of the Islamic and cultural system of the local community, that is keen to acquire the new version of it at the beginning of each Hijri year.
The Department also provides an electronic version of the Hijri calendar through its smart application, electronic platforms, and accounts on social media.
