Sharjah 24: The Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah announced the allocation of 608 outdoor praying spaces, “musallas”, and mosques in the Emirate of Sharjah for the Eid Al Adha prayer.
These include 404 in the city of Sharjah and Al Hamriyah, 94 in the Central Region, and 110 in the Eastern Region.
The department has allocated a number of musallas and mosques to non-Arabic speakers, including Urdu, Malayalam, Tamil, Pashto and English.
The department stressed the need for worshipers to adhere to the precautionary measures, by bringing a carpet, wearing a mask, applying physical distance between worshipers, and avoiding gatherings and shaking hands in all its forms before and after the Eid prayer.
The department also revealed the continued closure of women’s musallas and other service facilities in mosques.
Prayers will be held at 05:56 AM in the city of Sharjah and in Al Hamriyah area, and at 05:55 AM in the city of Al Dhaid and in Al Bataeh area, and at 05:56 AM in Al Madam and Mleiha area, and in the Eastern Region at 05:53 AM.
