Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) revealed that the total number of beneficiaries of the services of delivering medicines and medical supplies to the homes of elderly people with disabilities, has reached about 1983 people since the beginning of the launch of this service in April 2020 until June 2021.
This service, which is implemented by SSSD in cooperation with its partners from the health authorities, is one of a number of health and preventive initiatives launched by the Department to prevent cases from risks with proactive steps.
SSSD confirmed that the department works in accordance with the directives of the rational leadership of the Government of Sharjah, which is keen to provide a decent life for all members of society, and to take proactive steps to ensure the protection of various groups of members of society, especially senior citizens, people with disabilities, and other groups.
The department indicated that its efforts and responsibility doubled during the previous period due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which necessitated the provision of prevention, care and care for all beneficiaries of the services of the department.
