SSSD launches “Mobaderoon 4” Programme

Sharjah 24: Coinciding with the summer vacation, Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), launched the volunteer youth programme 'Mobaderoon 4' that targets youths from 13 to 17 years old. The programme activities for girls will be held from the 1st to the 5th of August, while boys activities will be held from the 8th to the 12th of August.
The programme aims to instill a culture of volunteer work among youth implementing different volunteer programmes in collaboration with the local institutions in different locations.  The programme includes includes a number of activities that promote the values of cooperation and volunteering among community members in Sharjah cities.

Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Community Cohesion at the SSSD stressed the the importance of the value of volunteering in the hearts of youths, noting that selecting such age group was not random but rather deliberate.

Al Hammadi stressed that all participants must have Al-Hosn green pass, and that they must comply with attendance in order to obtain a certificate of participation.

The “Mobaderoon 4” programme includes the value of commitment and organisation, in addition to a workshop on raising awareness of health procedures, and preparing and distributing sterilisation boxes to the community and urge them to participate in the volunteer platform.

The programme also includes a workshop on charity for the elderly and encourages the value of health care for adults, in addition to a competition to write a short story about charity, and a volunteer opportunity that includes field visits accompanied by the home care team.

The Director of the Department of Community Cohesion at SSSD thanked the institutions that contribute to the implementation of the programme, whereas she believes in the importance and impact of volunteering on the youth.
