Sharjah24: As part of its Parliamentary Work Skills Diploma programme, The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) continued its series of lectures by acquainting members of parliament on various child rights laws in Arab countries.
The Parliamentary Work Skills Diploma lecture included two workshops that were organised over two days via visual communication platform, in cooperation with the University of Sharjah. 

The two workshops clarified the child rights law "Wadeema" through which Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sadat, Head of the Private Law Department at the College of Law, University of Sharjah, reviewed a number of themes, included the responsibilities of the law enforcement agencies and clarifying the procedures for protecting children's rights.

The programme was attended by 64 members of the Arab Parliament for the Child where they presented themes and shared their views on the development of aspects of child rights. 

The presenter of the lecture clarified all the rights approved by the UAE legislator for all children based on the deep-rooted principles of equality and non-discrimination between children in light of the 1989 International Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The lecture concluded with an active participation of children, members of the Arab Parliament, where each of them presented an overview of one of the rights of the child in his country to enhance children’s knowledge of the national laws of Arab countries.
