Mona Abdul Kareem Al Yafie, Director of the SCHS, said that the City has started organising these activities since 1986 following the directives of Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of SCHS, to integrate children with disabilities, develop their talents and sharpen their skills during the summer holiday.
She explained that the Camp’s activities are organised virtually to keep safety and health of children and participants, during which children with disability, along with their friends and teachers, organise workshops, so that they achieve integration, enhance their confidence and raise their awareness of their potential in the various fields.
The summer caravan is witnessing a fruitful cooperation with FUNN, Sharjah Women’s Association, Sharjah Museums Authority and a number of volunteers.
