Sharjah 24: Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), has urged high school graduates from the city's Al Amal School for the Deaf to seriously consider university studies, as university is the platform to build their personality and future.
She told them, "What has been accomplished, despite its significance, is only a step along the way to success, and I invite you to approach the next stage with wisdom and awareness", and she prayed to the Almighty God for their success.
This was stated during a speech in which she congratulated high school graduates at a ceremony hosted by Al Amal School for the Deaf on Thursday, in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI)

With this year's (nine) high school graduates, the total number of students who have graduated from Al Amal School for the Deaf in General Secondary since its inception in 1979 is 93, with 12 of them having graduated from university.
Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services worked to overcome some of the difficulties faced by deaf students at the university prior to the opening of the Resource Centre for People with Disabilities by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah.
The Resource Centre for People with Disabilities, which is officially tied to the university director, has been in charge of this category's education and rehabilitation since its official inauguration. It works carefully to ensure equal educational opportunities in a competitive context, based on a comprehensive and integrated system, beginning with registration and admission to the university and continuing through awareness and career assistance after graduation.
The graduates of Al Amal School for the Deaf expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who is the first supporter of people with disabilities, and to Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. They also expressed gratitude to their teachers for guiding them from the beginning of their academic journey until graduation.
