Sharjah24: His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament was briefed on various efforts of the Kingdom of Jordan in establishing a parliament for child and their unwavering support for children to refine their capabilities.
This came during His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout’s visit to the National Assembly headquarters in Amman on 3rd of July, where he was received by representative of the Chairman of Parliament, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Women and Family Affairs Committee, Eng. Abeer Al Jabour.
During the reception followed the opening work of the third regular session of the Jordanian Children’s Parliament, Al Jabour welcomed Ayman Othman Al Barout , praising his efforts and the Parliament’s keenness to exchange experiences for the establishment of the Jordanian Children’s Parliament.
Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout highlighted the great keenness of the Arab Parliament for the child in communicating with various Arab countries, especially the Kingdom of Jordan in order to achieve its ambitions and to attain Jordan’s aspirations. Al Barout expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s leadership for their keenness to urge Jordan's children to bear their imprint in The Arab Parliament for the Child.
Al Barout continued his speech by expressing his deep gratitude for receiving the invitation to attend the opening work of the Jordanian Children’s Parliament and the election of its chairman, deputies, and the formation of its committees, pointing out that Jordan is one of the first Arab countries that sought to establish a national parliament for children.
Explaining the core objective of Kingdom’s leadership in stimulating children to unleash their energy, Al Jabour pointed out to the key role of the Jordanian Child Parliament in opening stimulating gateways for children to tap into their power and invest their energies to draw a brighter future and record further achievements. Al Jabour indicated that the Jordanian Child Parliament includes 50 members who were chosen according to approved criteria of leadership, volunteering, educational attainment and others.
