Sharjah24: The General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) at its headquarters in Sharjah organised a virtual ceremony Wednesday to mark the conclusion of the first session of the Parliament, with the aim of honouring the efforts of the members and supporting bodies from the UAE and from various countries of the Arab world that contributed to the success of the first session over the years 2019-2020.
The attendees followed a speech from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who supports the parliament, by presenting a video clip of his speech at the opening session of the Arab Parliament in Sharjah in its first session in April 2019.
This was followed by the presentation of a short video clip about the march of the first session and its most important achievements, in addition to the workshops held in Sharjah, UAE, field visits and participation in the initiatives of local community departments and agencies.
In a speech at the ceremony, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary General of the APC, greeted the members of Parliament from the first session on the occasion of honouring their great contribution.
The members of the APC were honoured in its first session and were granted membership in the former members' club of Parliament, after which the participating and supportive bodies of the Arab Parliament were honoured in its first session, and the beginning was with the honuor of the General Secretariat of the Arab League and the federal authorities in the UAE and the local authorities in the government of Sharjah and Arab countries partners.
