Sharjah 24: Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary General of Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah, confirmed the virtual world and social media do not pose any threat to the Arabic language. On the contrary, virtual reality increases the spread of the Arabic language.
In a speech he virtually delivered, during his participation in the sixth session of the Joint International Conference 2021, organised by the Korean Association for Arabic Language and Literature, affiliated to Hankuk University for Linguistic and Foreign Studies in the capital, Seoul, under the slogan "the Arabic Language and the Virtual World", Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi said that the Arabic language is protected by its own heritage, whereas it is a beautiful language used in literature and songs.
Dr. Al Mosteghanemi explained that the Arabic language is one of the Semitic languages, and Arabic speakers increase every day, and that many peoples converted to Islam, learned and mastered Arabic, in addition, the Arabic language is the language of the Holy Quran, which allowed it to survive through ages.
To conclude, the Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah indicated that the Academy had previously received a delegation of students from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, teachers, and praised the Korean Association that organised the conference.
