Sharjah 24: Hayawa Suburb Council of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD), during its first meeting held at the council’s headquarters in Khorfakkan, approved the nomination of Khaled Ahmed Hassan Buhandi Al Mansouri as Chairman of the Hayawa Suburb Council, and Ali Ibrahim Mohammed Abdullah Al Hosani as Vice-Chairman.
The meeting was held in implementation of the Emiri Decree No. (20) of 2021 issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the formation of Hayawa Suburb Council in Khorfakkan, calling for the election of the chairman and vice chairman.
The meeting was attended by Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) and Chairman of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Department, Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department, and members of the Hayawa Suburb Council.
Al Suwaidi extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his continuous support to the Districts and Villages Affairs Department, and his belief in the important role of councils as a bridge between the society and the government.
During the meeting, Al Suwaidi explained the role of the Suburb Council, and the most prominent competencies within the framework of the visions and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi also welcomed the members of Suburb Council, wishing them a journey fulfilled with service to the suburb residents.
