Sharjah24: The Hayawa Suburb Council (HSC) of the Districts & Villages Affairs Department of the Government of Sharjah approved, during its first meeting, which was held at the Council’s headquarters in Khorfakkan, the election of Khaled Ahmed Hassan Buhandi Al Mansouri as Chairman of the Hayawa Suburb Council, and Ali Ibrahim Muhammad Abdullah Al Hosani was nominated as Vice President.
The meeting is held in implementation of the Emiri Decree No. (20) of 2021 issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah on the formation of the Hayawa Suburb Council in the city of Khorfakkan. The decision was made upon the agreement of the majority of the Council’s members. The meeting, which was held yesterday evening, was attended by Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) and Chairman of the Districts and Villages Affairs Department, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of Councils Affairs, and the members of the Hayawa Suburb Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, Khamis Al Suwaidi has expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, lauding His Highness' continuous support for the Department of Suburb and Village Affairs and Suburban Councils. He also praised His Highness' belief in the role of councils. Khamis Al Suwaidi briefed the members of the Hayawa Suburb Council’s roles and the most prominent competencies within the framework of the visions and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi also welcomed the members of the District Council, wishing them to fulfill their tasks successfully in serving the people of the suburb.
