Sharjah24: In the presence of His Excellency Khamis bin Salim Al Suwaidi Chairman of Districts & Villages Affairs Department, and Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Department, the first meeting of Hayawa Suburb Council was held in Khorfakkan on Sunday.
In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", Al Suwaidi blessed the formation of the council and the selection of its Chairman and vice-chairman by recommendation of the members, expressing his aspirations that the council would be an addition to serving the community within the scope of its work.
His Excellency stressed that the system of district councils is witnessing a huge boom and rapid expansion in all cities of the Emirate of Sharjah, where the second Hayawa council has become in Khorfakkan after the Subaiha suburb council, and in Dibba Al Hisn, and another in Al Dhaid, while work is underway to establish several councils in Kalba.
Al Suwaidi praised the spirit of positive competition between the councils, and their initiatives, activities and work outputs that serve the emirate and its citizens, praising the efforts of the heads and members of the councils in various cities of Sharjah.
