SP presents a braille book on domestic violence to EAVI

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police General Command presented a copy of the book "The Law on Protection from Domestic Violence", which was issued by the Sharjah Police with Braille translation, to the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired (EAVI).
The gesture aims to raise the awareness of  the visually impaired people of the types of the domestic violence and means of protection, contributing in promoting family cohesion and the stability of society.

This came during the visit of His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, to the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired, with the aim of strengthening the framework of constructive cooperation with the disabled customers, and developing communication and the police services provided to them.

During the visit, His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi and the accompanying dignitaries were welcomed by His Excellency Adel Al-Zumar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired and a number of the Association’s officials.

During the visit, Major General Al Shamsi was briefed on the services and efforts provided by the Association to people with visual disabilities to integrate them into society and provide them with basic skills that make them productive and active members of society. His Excellency listened to development proposals that raise the level of the provided services at all areas. 

His Excellency Major General Al Shamsi indicated that this visit comes in line with the directives and interest of our wise leadership, aiming to empower this category of society, stressing on Sharjah Police’s keenness to enhance its social and security responsibility.
