Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, continued its awareness campaign to check the safety of vehicles' tyres in the Central Region of Al Dhaid.
Captain Saud Al Shaiba, Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch, confirmed the continuation of the seasonal campaign for tyre safety during the summer, which aims to educate drivers of light and heavy vehicles about the importance of the safety for vehicles in general. In addition to raising awareness on tyres' safety in particular through the standards and measures that must be available, reducing the causes that lead to summer traffic accidents.
The Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch stressed the need to conduct a periodic check of the tyres, especially during these periods of high temperatures, which may affect the possibility of tyres' friction on the road. This may cause rapid damage, or sudden explosion, noting to drivers the importance of such checks to avoid traffic accidents.
