Sharjah24: His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah (DSCD), announced the launch of the "Economic Survey" for the Emirate of Sharjah for the year 2019, on October 26, 2020.
His Excellency said that the 2019 survey will cover all establishments in all administrative regions, in addition to free zones in the emirate. Stressing that the establishments' cooperation with this survey will contribute to clarifying the current economic situation and building an integrated system of indicators to measure the emirate's GDP.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Humaid Al Qasimi extended his thanks and gratitude to all the economic establishments that participated in the economic survey for the years 2017/2018, which was carried out by the department for the first time in the emirate.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the results of the 2017 and 2018 survey, and the increase in GDP of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Adding that the results of the economic survey showed the distribution of operating establishments according to the size of employment, economic activity, and a statement of compensation for workers in terms of salaries, wages, in-kind and cash benefits. In addition to the volume of activities and the volume of capital invested in each economic sector.
