Sharjah 24: Ahmed Bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), highly thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous support for the book and publishing houses around the world.
He said that His Highness’s grant, which exceeded AED16 million, for purchase of books or for exemption of all publishing houses participating in the 39th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) from the pavilions rental fees incurred for their participation in the Fair, is so generous that the publishers highly and immensely appreciated.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Al Ameri added that the grant strengthens the publishing industry and supports publishers at the level of the Arab world and the wider world.
