Sharjah 24: Eisa Yousif, Director of the Excavation and Archaeological Sites and tangible heritage at Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA), confirmed that SAA is keen to participate with 27 archaeology books and translated publications in the field of archaeology and excavations in Sharjah and the Arab world to be exhibited in the 39th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) carrying the theme, 'The World Reads from Sharjah' held at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
Yousif revealed that SAA will apply all necessary precautionary measures adhering to safety protocols in place to curb the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic aiming at raising the public awareness, during this exceptional edition, on preserving monuments and archeological finds. He added that SIBF is an opportunity to strengthen communication and enhance partnerships with different community sectors promoting the Authority projects and achievements.

Yousif pointed that SIBF visitors will have the opportunity to watch an introductory film in SAA pavilion throughout the day, in addition to receiving awareness leaflets in Arabic and English on antiquities, monuments and finds discovered in Sharjah.

Yousif confirmed that the Sharjah cultural project and its active presence on the agenda of cultural events in the world has become a global model to be followed, whereas it promotes culture.  SAA aims at promoting the archaeological heritage excavating, restoring and maintaining archaeological finds, that are historical, national and human heritage.
