Sharjah 24: His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International (SCI), announced that the association celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of its “Makers of Good” programme, comprising 13 graduates. This initiative is part of the association's efforts to instill a culture of charitable work and promote the values of giving and volunteering among children and youth.

Youth embrace charitable work and volunteering

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity Association, stated that the graduation of the second cohort of “Makers of Good” is part of a strategy developed by SCI to be an integral part of the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah. This strategy focuses on preparing a conscious generation of children and youth in various fields, particularly in the field of charitable work, which is considered a fundamental pillar in building and strengthening society.

Programme strengthens social responsibility among younger generations

Bin Khadem added that the programme's graduates will be continuously engaged with the association's efforts and initiatives, contributing to a positive impact on supporting charitable work, strengthening its connection with the community, and instilling a sense of social responsibility in younger generations.

He emphasised that investing in youth is a fundamentas pillar for the sustainability of charitable work, by cultivating values of giving, generosity, and volunteerism within them, and empowering them to play an active role in serving the community and contributing to the development process.
