The event attracted children, parents and families, marking the conclusion of a series of programmes and activities organised by the municipality throughout the summer to promote quality of life, community awareness and safety, while providing safe recreational and educational spaces for families.
The closing event featured interactive and educational workshops, competitions, recreational and physical games, a photography corner, and awareness and entertainment activities presented by participating organisations.
Activities were also designed to help children prepare positively for their return to school, combining entertainment with initiatives to support their psychological readiness for the new academic year.
The event brought together the Sharjah Police General Command, the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and Tornado, reflecting institutional cooperation in delivering community-focused programmes.
Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah City Municipality, said the campaign provided families and children with a safe, engaging community space and programmes that combined awareness, education and entertainment.
He said the decision to conclude the campaign ahead of the new school year was intended to share the excitement of returning to school with students and their families and to encourage them to begin the year with optimism, ambition and enthusiasm for learning and achievement.
Al Shamsi praised the participating organisations for their support, emphasising the importance of institutional partnerships in delivering initiatives that benefit the community and strengthen social connections.
He added that the municipality would continue to develop its community programmes in line with the aspirations of Al Hamriyah residents and visitors, while enhancing the role of public facilities and parks as spaces for community interaction and purposeful activities.
