Held for the second consecutive year with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council, the championship will feature matches across morning and evening sessions at the club’s indoor halls.
Kalba Cultural and Sports Club organised the press conference at Kalba Waterfront to announce details of the second edition, in the presence of Rashid Saeed bin Freish Al Kindi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalba Cultural and Sports Club, along with a number of officials and media representatives.
Al Darmaki said the championship will feature a selection of leading Gulf and local clubs, including Kalba Club, a team comprising Sharjah club players, Bahrain’s Dar Kulaib Club, Kuwait’s Kazma Club and Oman’s Sohar Club.
In statements to "Sharjah 24," Al Darmaki said the championship primarily aims to enhance technical competition and exchange expertise with Gulf coaching schools, while improving players’ readiness and competitive spirit ahead of upcoming domestic competitions.
The Director of the Kalba International Volleyball Championship for Youth highlighted the strong technical achievements of the first edition, noting that Kalba Club’s Under-16 A and B teams won the General League title last season, while Kazma and Dar Kulaib won the league titles in Kuwait and Bahrain, respectively. He added that the club is keen to deliver an exceptional edition this year that builds on the participating teams’ gains and meets volleyball fans’ expectations.
