Al Dhaid Municipality inaugurates Fleet Monitoring Unit

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Hamad Rashid Al Teneiji, Director of Al Dhaid Municipality, announced the inauguration of the municipality's Fleet Monitoring Unit, developed in cooperation with BEEAH and officially opened on Thursday at the municipality's headquarters. The facility is the first of its kind across Sharjah's municipalities and marks a strategic step towards enhancing municipal operational efficiency and supporting the emirate's digital transformation journey.

His Excellency Sultan Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, inaugurated the “Fleet Monitoring Unit” building at Al Dhaid Municipality, on Thursday, in cooperation with BEEAH, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Municipal Affairs, as well as chairmen of municipal councils and municipalities across the Emirate.

His Excellency Hamad Rashid Al Teneiji, Director of Al Dhaid Municipality, confirmed that the Fleet Monitoring Unit project is the first of its kind across the Emirate’s municipalities. The innovative project aims to enhance the overall performance system of the municipality, improving productivity quality and the speed of field response.

He explained, in statements to “Sharjah 24”, that the project has received wide acclaim and strong engagement from staff, and has made a tangible contribution to reorganising workflow processes and restructuring daily activities with a high degree of precision.

The Director of Al Dhaid Municipality noted that this step comes as a prelude to a package of future digital projects that Al Dhaid Municipality is working to develop, in line with the wise directives of the leadership of the Emirate of Sharjah towards adopting smart solutions and comprehensive digital transformation, in a way that serves the city’s community and enhances the sustainability of its resources.
