Sharjah24: With the aim of reviewing the governance framework and institutional practices in sports clubs across the UAE, a delegation from the Ministry of Sports visited Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club on Tuesday including Omar Abdulrahman, Director of the Inspection and Control Department at the Ministry of Sports, and Marwan Al Marzouqi, Adviser for Audit and Governance at the ministry.

 

Strategic plans and governance procedures highlighted

During the visit, the delegation reviewed Al Hamriyah Club's strategic plan, institutional work mechanisms, and the administrative and financial procedures adopted by the club. The visit formed part of the ministry's field inspection programme to monitor financial and administrative auditing requirements and governance standards across sports clubs in the UAE.

Club representatives also presented key programmes and initiatives implemented in coordination with the Sharjah Sports Council to advance sports and administrative development, as well as the club's efforts to prepare and develop athletes to represent UAE sport at various competitions.

Ministry commends institutional excellence

The Ministry of Sports praised Al Hamriyah Club's high organisational standards and its commitment to strengthening good governance and institutional excellence, highlighting the club's prominent role in serving UAE sport through identifying and developing talented athletes and supplying the national teams with promising players capable of achieving future success.
