31 new supplementary grants approved for Sharjah retirees

Sharjah24: The Supplementary Grants Committee for Retirees in the Emirate of Sharjah held its regular meeting, chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR), and Chairman of the Committee, to approve 31 new applications that met the eligibility requirements for the supplementary grant for retirees.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the latest developments related to the supplementary grants and discussed ways to enhance the mechanisms for delivering support to improve its efficiency and ensure its sustainability for eligible beneficiaries.

New applications financial cost

The new approved grants amount to an annual financial cost of AED 1,747,200, and the payments will be deposited into the beneficiaries' accounts during June 2026.

The meeting reflects the practical implementation of the continuous and dedicated efforts made by the Emirate of Sharjah to enhance the living standards of retirees and strengthen their financial stability through supplementary grants that help meet their daily living needs. The committee will continue carrying out its responsibilities through a systematic approach that ensures the efficient assessment of applications and prompt decision-making, reinforcing the principle of social justice in line with the Emirate of Sharjah's vision of supporting all segments of society.
