The agreement was signed on behalf of the department by His Excellency Sultan Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, and on behalf of BEEAH by Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Municipal Affairs, as well as chairmen of municipal councils and directors of municipalities across the emirate.
Fahad Ali Shehail, stated that the launch of the second integrated waste management complex in the emirate reflects the strategic partnership between BEEAH and the Department of Municipal Affairs and further strengthens Sharjah's leadership in environmental sustainability.
Speaking to Sharjah 24, Shehail explained that the project aims to achieve the safe and environmentally efficient disposal of waste across the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah through an advanced industrial system comprising a wide range of specialised recycling plants and projects.
Fahad Ali Shehail added that the launch represents a significant milestone in supporting the objectives of the circular economy and translates the emirate's vision of adopting integrated environmental solutions that enhance quality of life and preserve natural resources for future generations.
