Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club is hosting a course for football fitness coaches, accredited by the Asian Football Confederation, titled “Asian Football Fitness Coaching Course (AFC Fitness L2-B Coaching Course Certificate),” which represents the fourth and highest level of qualification for fitness coaches who work with professional clubs.

The course takes place during the period from June 8 to 14, 2026.

The course includes the participation of 12 fitness coaches representing a number of clubs from within the country and abroad, where they receive an advanced training program aimed at developing their scientific and practical knowledge and experience in the field of preparing players physically according to the latest curricula and methods approved by the Asian Football Confederation, which contributes to raising the efficiency of technical staff and enhancing performance levels in clubs and national teams.

This is the first course of its kind in Asia to be held in the UAE at this advanced level.

The course lectures and academic management are overseen by Jordanian Professor Dr Mohammed Khalaf Dhiabat. He is an accredited lecturer with the Asian Football Confederation. Professor Dhiabat presents participants with scientific topics along with practical applications related to modern physical fitness sciences. He covers how to plan and develop players' physical abilities, how to measure performance, and how to improve physical skills to meet the needs of professional football.

The course opening was graced by the presence of Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Dhaid Club, along with various officials. During the event, they, along with the participants, received an overview of the program and its training topics.

Bin Huwaiden stressed that hosting the course aligns with the club's vision of fostering the development of sports and technical talent, with the aim of strengthening collaborations with national and continental sports organizations, ultimately aiding in the advancement of the football system.
