Sharjah prepares for exceptional national celebrations
As the nation celebrates Eid Al Etihad (Union Day), the Emirate of Sharjah has developed a special schedule of events to mark the 54th anniversary, taking place from November 19 to December 2, 2025. The celebrations will feature a range of activities that showcase the UAE's history and heritage through cultural, artistic, and community events held at Sharjah's historical and tourist landmarks.
The diverse activities planned for Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) on December 2 will celebrate the UAE's cultural identity and deeply held values, emphasising the strength that arises from unity in diversity. With participation from all segments of society, these events will reflect a strong sense of community spirit and belonging, making Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) a lasting symbol of collective pride and national achievement.
On this occasion, His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Committee for the 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) Celebrations, extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates as well as the Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, Sheikhs, citizens, and residents of the UAE.
Main celebrations across Sharjah
The main celebration venues will be Al Siyouh Family Park, Kshisha Park, Sharjah National Park, and Al Layyah Canal. In addition, events will take place in other important areas across the Emirate, including Al Batayeh, Al Hamriyah, Wadi Al Helo, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam, Al Khrous Suburb, and Mleiha. Festivities will also occur at Al Rifa’a Park in Mughaider Suburb from November 19 until December 2, 2025, along with a special musical evening at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre.
Main venues and highlights
Al Siyouh Family Park
The official opening of the 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) celebrations are set to take place at Al Siyouh Family Park on Wednesday, November 19, at 5:00 PM. The event will feature traditional folk performances, competitions for all ages, artistic and theatrical segments, youth discussion sessions, and a variety of cultural and community activities. The celebrations will continue until December 2.
Kshisha Park
Activities at Kshisha Park will run from November 19 to December 2, including traditional performances, competitions, youth dialogue sessions, children’s entertainment, and community-oriented events for all ages.
Al Layyah Canal
For the first time, Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) celebrations will be held at Al Laya Canal from Friday, November 28, to December 2. The event will feature national performances, folk shows, family business displays, youth projects, children’s workshops, and entertainment zones.
Sharjah National Park
From November 19 to December 2, the park will host traditional performances, youth panels, children’s shows, and competitions for all ages with exciting prizes. The parks will transform into vibrant community villages featuring craft workshops, heritage corners, live performances, traditional food stalls, and sections for local talents, poets, and school students.
These events will also include participation from local youth groups, craftsmen, productive families, and people of determination, ensuring inclusivity and community engagement under safe and sustainable conditions.
Musical Evening at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre
As part of the Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) celebrations, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre will host a spectacular musical evening on November 29, 2025, featuring Hussain Al Jassmi and Fouad Abdelwahad in a night filled with patriotic emotion and musical brilliance.
Celebrations across Sharjah’s regions
Al Batayeh
From November 27 to 29, Al Batayeh Park will host parades, folk performances, heritage exhibitions, and community activities. The “Union Bus” will tour residential areas distributing gifts and flags, while poetry and traditional art performances will enrich the festivities.
Al Dhaid
A grand parade will take place from November 26 to 30 November, followed by heritage markets, local cuisine, and cultural shows at Al Dhaid Fort.
Al Hamriyah
From November 20 to 22, Al Hamriyah’s Heritage Village by the creek will host traditional songs, competitions, sports, crafts, and classic car exhibitions.
Kalba
Starting November 22, Kalba will feature the annual operetta, parades, fireworks, and water sports competitions.
Wadi Al Helo
On November 23, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the heritage village in Wadi Al Helo will host poetry recitals, student performances, and prize giveaways.
Khorfakkan
Khorfakkan’s celebrations on November 21 will include the operetta “Pulse of the Nation” with student participation, folk shows, youth gatherings, and a robotics exhibition, at the Khorfakkan amphitheater.
Dibba Al Hisn
On November 22, a national parade will be followed by poetry recitations, folk dances, and fireworks in a vibrant display of national pride.
Al Khrous Suburb
On November 28, the area will host parades with government and school participation, alongside traditional art and heritage performances.
Al Madam
Celebrations on November 22–23 include videos titled “Journey Through the Memory of the Nation” and “Nation of Glory… From Past to Future”, children’s heritage costume competitions, and cultural discussions titled “In the Old Days... Our Modern Talk.”
Mleiha
On November 20–21, Mleiha’s heritage village will feature military bands, folk dances, recycling workshops for children, poetry, and cultural performances in a desert ambiance.
Mughaider Suburb
Celebrations at Al Rifa’a Park will run from November 21 to 22, featuring a bicycle parade, to the park, productive family stalls, Sharjah police K9 segments, traditional and folkloric performances, and competitions for all community members.

The 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) celebrations in Sharjah embody the values of unity, loyalty, and national pride, highlighting the strong bond between the people and their leadership. These events align with the “Year of Community,” which emphasises social cohesion, cultural identity, and a vision for the future grounded in the UAE’s proud history.
Khalid Jasim Al Midfa expressed his gratitude to the Sharjah Executive Council, municipal councils, and all participating entities for their efforts in organising a diverse array of celebrations. He emphasised the importance of ongoing development and innovation in national events, aimed at bringing joy to both citizens and residents.
He further noted that these celebrations serve as an essential opportunity to reinforce national identity across generations, as the UAE confidently progresses toward global prominence.
