Sharjah 24: The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Sharjah (UOS) organised the "Universities Forum" on digital transformation in universities. The forum aimed to highlight the most prominent digital transformations in the university environment and facilitate the exchange of experiences among academic institutions in the UAE.
Participating institutions included the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Al Qasimia University (AQU), University of Khorfakkan (UKF), and the University of Kalba (UKB), providing a platform for exchanging expertise and discussing best practices in digital transformation and innovation.

The forum opened with a welcoming address by Dr Salama Al Rahoumi, Dean of Student Affairs, who emphasised the university's commitment to holding such events to empower students, foster a sophisticated digital learning environment, and leverage modern technologies and artificial intelligence to develop students' academic skills. She also highlighted the forum's role in opening avenues for exchanging experiences with other universities.

Modern technologies and AI utilisation

The forum featured two panel discussions. The first session focused on modern technologies in developing education and student services, where participants reviewed digital transformation experiences and best university practices. Students Iman Abdulaziz, Amna Al Naqbi, Sumaya Al Darmaki, Asma Adam, and Sarah Obaid Al Naqbi participated. The second session focused on artificial intelligence in serving students. Participants discussed how to utilise AI to support self-learning and scientific research, as well as future challenges and opportunities to enhance their academic skills. Students Moza Al Mazrouei, Rawan Waleed, Amna Al Kindi, Noor Mohammed, and Shaikha Yousef Al Zaabi participated in this session.
