Kalba hosts sixth round of UAE Sailing Championship

Sharjah 24: Kalba Beach successfully hosted the sixth round of the UAE Modern Sailing Championship, coinciding with the seventh edition of the Kalba Beach Games. The event attracted significant participation from sailing clubs across the country, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere.

The sixth round featured intense races under excellent weather conditions throughout the two days. The alignment with the Kalba Beach Games added a special dimension to the tournament, enhancing its appeal for participants and spectators alike.

Federation strategy and acknowledgements

Mohammed Abdullah Al Obaidli, Secretary-General of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, highlighted that hosting the sixth round in Kalba is part of the Federation's strategy to promote sailing, increase participation, and help clubs enhance their technical standards. He also praised the event's organisation, thanking the Sharjah Maritime Club for its hospitality and coordination, as well as other supporting partners, reflecting the UAE’s strong record in hosting prestigious marine championships.
