This came during a visit by His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of APC, and Professor Ghizlane Benjelloun, Vice President of the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child in the Kingdom of Morocco, to the Academy.
The delegation was received by His Excellency Dr Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary-General of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, and several department directors.
Pillars of change
The Secretary-General of the Holy Quran Academy welcomed the delegation and accompanied them on a tour of the Quranic Museums. He provided a detailed explanation of the Academy's role, its scientific and cultural mission, and its three pillars: the Sharjah International Electronic Recitation Centre; the Department of Scientific Studies and Research, which carries out the Academy's scientific and research projects; and the Quranic Museums, which showcase the history of the Holy Quran, its manuscripts, its sciences, and its prominent figures.
His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout expressed his deep pride in the visit of a delegation from APC to the Holy Quran Academy, which took place on the sidelines of the Parliament's participation in the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF).
A beacon of knowledge
Al Barout said that the Academy's wealth of knowledge treasures, rare manuscripts, and specialised museums represent a source of pride for the Emirate of Sharjah in particular and the UAE in general, and embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to consolidate the emirate's position as a beacon of knowledge and service to the Holy Quran.
Enhancing community cultural awareness
Al Barout added that the visit provided a valuable opportunity for APC members to witness a luminous aspect of the cultural heritage and the pioneering efforts in Quranic and museum research and studies. He emphasised that what they witnessed enhances the cultural and intellectual awareness of the community and instils in them the values of pride in Arab and Islamic identity, contributing to building a conscious generation capable of serving their nation.
The delegation praised the efforts of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in establishing this cultural edifice, which serves as a bridge of knowledge between peoples, and whose fruits extend to more than 172 countries around the world.
