Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that the support extends to clubs competing in the AFC Champions League Elite, which kicks off today with Shabab Al Ahli, Sharjah, and Al Wahda, as well as the AFC Champions League 2, featuring Al Wasl, and the Gulf Champions League, in which Al Ain will participate.
He stressed the significance of these competitions in enhancing the global standing of Emirati football, noting the extensive preparations by the teams and expressing full confidence in their ability to deliver strong performances that reflect the sport’s growth in the UAE.
His Excellency underlined the direct link between club success and the development of the UAE national team, particularly as it prepares for crucial stages of the Asian qualifiers for the upcoming World Cup.
"We at the UAE Football Association believe that collective solidarity at this stage is essential," he said, urging fans to support local clubs and prepare to stand behind the national team, the "Whites," in their World Cup qualification campaign next month.
Sheikh Hamdan concluded by affirming that the UAEFA continues to implement its strategic plans in cooperation with clubs and relevant bodies to boost Emirati football’s regional and international presence and fulfill the ambitions of the nation's leadership and supporters.
