As part of the qualifiers, the national team—commonly known as The Whites—will face Oman on October 11 and Qatar on October 14. Both matches will be held at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club in Doha.
The first training session took place at the Dubai Police Officers Club, under the leadership of Head Coach Cosmin Olariu. He addressed the players, emphasizing the importance of the camp, which falls within the FIFA Days schedule. Olariu urged the team to remain focused, work hard, and make the most of the training, which runs until September 9.
Matar Al-Sahbani, a member of the team’s administrative staff, noted that the Dubai camp is a continuation of the training program that began in Austria last month. He highlighted that the technical staff successfully implemented its tactical plans during that period through intensive training and friendly matches.
Al-Sahbani confirmed that most players from the Austrian camp are present in the current squad, providing technical stability. He also described the return of newly joined players to the team as a valuable addition.
The national team is fully prepared for the upcoming challenges, with the exception of player Mohammed Awadallah, who is expected to join the camp in the coming days. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Hamad Al-Muqbali will temporarily join the Olympic team as it competes in the AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers in Abu Dhabi.
