Marrakech House of Poetry: radio, memory, and new voices

The house of poetry premises, located in Al Dawudiyyat Cultural Centre, will host poets and media professionals, and its theme will be radio media and the memory of Moroccan poetry, through the experience of the Marrakech Regional Radio.

Journalist Fatima Akrout, director of the regional radio station in Marrakech, poet and journalist Hassan Ben Mansour, and radio personality and artist Anas Al Malhouni will participate in the panel discussion of the House of Poetry Salon.

The House will also host poets Abdeljawad Al Khenifi, Hanan Madari, and Ibrahim Deeb in a poetry reading segment, as part of its commitment to further openness to new poetic voices representing different generations of Moroccan poetry. Artist Anas Al Malhouni will also participate in the musical accompaniment, as part of the "localisation" of the "House of Poetry Salon" initiative, as a space to listen to the expectations of visitors and interact with the House's cultural and poetry programming.

New set of activities

For its ninth season, the House of Poetry in Marrakech intends to launch a series of new initiatives, programmes, and segments, celebrating the lush tree of Moroccan poetry, and further openness to the sensibilities and experiences of modern Moroccan poetry, as well as a profound openness to various poetic experiences and poetic voices coming from the future. The salon space constitutes an open dialogue circle for creativity and dialogue,concerning the poetry archive and its questions, as well as an opportunity for the public, with its propositional power, to closely interact with the programmes of the House of Poetry in Marrakech.
