Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Kalba Municipal Council, revealed that the Council will hold its first coordination meeting today, Monday, in preparation for Kalba City’s celebrations of the 54th Eid Al Etihad.

The meeting, held at the External Administration Building of the Kalba City Municipality, with the participation of more than 40 government entities in the region, aimed to discuss the formation of subcommittees for the celebrations.

Meeting held with participation of over 40 government entities

Al Zaabi stated that the meeting, which focused on forming subcommittees and distributing responsibilities for the 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations, also aimed to enhance collaboration among institutions to better serve both citizens and residents.

Objective: Unified planning and budgeting for celebrations

Dr Al Zaabi confirmed to “Sharjah 24” that the meeting also aimed to assign roles to participating bodies. Another key objective was to approve a unified budget to cover the main events, accompanying activities, and exhibitions planned during the celebration period.

Agenda focuses on coordination, accessibility, and festive atmosphere

The Chairman of the Kalba Municipal Council added that an agenda for coordination among local departments and institutions has been approved. This agenda emphasises ensuring smooth access to event sites, delivering consistent media messages, and creating a festive atmosphere that aligns with the expectations of citizens and residents.

Unified efforts to reflect Kalba’s cultural identity

Al Zaabi noted that the Council aims, through early coordination, to unify efforts and create a comprehensive program that befits the national occasion. The celebrations will highlight Kalba’s cultural and social identity, while prioritising high standards of organisation, safety, and public service.
