Sharjah Civil Defence to ensure facilities’ readiness and safety

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Civil Defence Authority is always working on improving buildings and facilities safety in Sharjah, via regular inspections throughout the year, ensuring everything meets the standards.

The authority checks, during its inspection tours, the fire alarms and extinguishers, and ensures the emergency exits are easy to find and access.

By end of June 2025, the authority inspected a total of 18,714 facilities, including 5,408 regular inspections and 13,306 unannounced visits. This ongoing oversight highlights the Authority's commitment to protecting the community and ensuring the safety of people and property.

Al Ali stated that being prepared can significantly reduce risks and enable quick response amid emergencies, stressing the collaboration with residents and several authorities.

The Sharjah Civil Defense focuses on launching campaigns to raise awareness among building workers and residents about preventative measures and the importance of regular maintenance of fire systems.
