Sharjah24: The Municipal Council of Dibba Al Hisn held a coordination meeting with the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority (SCDA) in the city to discuss ways of joint cooperation in implementing awareness campaigns aimed at promoting a culture of preventive safety among community members. The focus was especially on installing smoke detectors in homes and raising awareness of their importance in preventing fire hazards and protecting lives and property.

Key Figures Attend

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah bin Yarouf Al Naqbi, His Excellency Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, and His Excellency Colonel Saeed Mohammed Al Dhahouri, Deputy Director of the Civil Defense Department in the city.

Awareness Campaign Emphasis

The meeting emphasised the need to enhance awareness initiatives through field programs, educational workshops, and media messages that highlight the crucial role of smoke detectors in early fire detection and the importance of installing them in all residential units.

Compliance Requirement Discussed

The attendees also addressed the need for owners of buildings and commercial establishments to obtain a certificate of compliance with Civil Defense requirements, viewing it as a crucial condition for ensuring the readiness and safety of structures in accordance with applicable regulations.

Coordination and Protection

Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening continuous coordination and integrating efforts among concerned parties, contributing to consolidating a culture of community safety and achieving the highest levels of prevention and protection for the city’s residents and visitors.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Municipal Council of Dibba Al Hisn and the leadership of Sharjah Civil Defense's keenness to raise preventive awareness levels and embed the concept of safety as a community priority and daily practice.
