Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Archives has started a new community initiative called "History Told," taking place at City Centre Al Zahia from the 21st to the 26th of this month. This initiative is all about helping people understand the importance of preserving our history and encourages everyone to participate in a unique experience that combines documentaries and historical storytelling.

One of the highlights of this initiative is a photo exhibition that beautifully displays the history of Sharjah and how it has changed over time. Visitors can enjoy these visuals that tell the story of Sharjah's identity and culture.

There’s also an interactive area named "Check Your Document." Here, people are invited to bring their personal documents so experts can help examine them and provide advice on how to properly preserve them.

Another exciting feature is the "Once Upon a Time" corner. This part of the initiative lets visitors share their own stories and memories related to Sharjah's history, adding to the oral history that the National Archives is working to keep alive.

Maha Salem Al Muhairi, the Director of Sharjah Archives, explained that the initiative is a great way to raise awareness about the value of documents and invites everyone to be part of sharing Sharjah's story. She encourages the public to visit the initiative, whether by bringing in their documents for preservation or sharing their personal stories that contribute to the rich history of Sharjah.
