The mission was led by Mindaugas Balčiūnas, President of the Federation, and included Alina Adomaitytė, Vice President, and Dominykas Domarkas, Secretary General.
They addressed potential collaboration between the two sides, with an emphasis on team training camps and competitive encounters, as well as administrator and coach training courses and seminars.
The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Obaid Al Hossan, the Council's Director of Sports Affairs and Development, and Emad Othman, the department's basketball specialist.
Issa Hilal Al Hazami stated that the areas of cooperation will provide a significant benefit to the Emirate's club teams, as well as their administrative and technical staff, due to Lithuania's basketball superiority.
The Council's Sports Affairs and Development Department will develop cooperation initiatives with the clubs, he stated.
The President of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation praised Sharjah's advanced infrastructure and facilities. He noted that the two sides' collaboration will take numerous forms and that the Federation will use all of its knowledge to assist the basketball staff and teams in Sharjah.
