Sharjah Police confirm success of security plan during Eid

Sharjah24: Sharjah Police announced the success of its security and traffic plan during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, which extended from the 5th to the 8th of this month. This success was achieved in coordination with the relevant authorities and involved handling over 33,000 calls through the emergency numbers 999 and 901.

Accurate traffic analysis and predictions

He noted that the plan was based on accurate analyses of traffic movement and predictions of congestion in vital locations, such as mosques, shopping centers, and tourist and entertainment areas. This helped enhance effective security and traffic presence, achieving advanced levels of safety and traffic flow throughout the emirate.

Outstanding performance of the operations center

The operations center demonstrated outstanding performance in handling incoming calls during the holiday, receiving over 29,000 calls on 999, while 901 dealt with 4,063 non-emergency calls. This reflects the readiness of personnel and the efficiency of technical and operational support systems.

Community awareness and response efficiency

He explained that the majority of reports received through 999 were classified as non-emergency, highlighting the need to raise community awareness about the importance of using the correct number. This contributes to enhancing response efficiency and speeding up support for critical cases.

Gratitude to the community

The Sharjah Police General Command expresses its gratitude to community members for their cooperation and adherence to security and traffic instructions, emphasising that this effective collaboration has reinforced community safety and achieved high levels of discipline during the holiday.

Continuous communication for safety

They also renewed their invitation for the public to maintain continuous communication with the operations center at 999 for emergencies and 901 for general inquiries, confirming ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of all community members during various occasions.
