Second phase of training
The UAE Football Association announced that this is the second phase of the team’s training program. The first phase began last week at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai, under the leadership of coach Olario Cosmin, with a squad of 27 players.
Group A standings and qualification hopes
The UAE currently sits in third place in Group A with 13 points, behind Iran (20 points) and Uzbekistan (17 points). The team is aiming to win both upcoming matches, while hoping for a favorable result—such as a draw or loss—for Uzbekistan in its game against Qatar, to secure direct qualification to the next stage.
