Sharjah commemorates Global Running and World Bicycle Days

Global Running Day–May 31

The running competition will take place on Al Hira Corniche and last an hour and a half, beginning at 5:45 a.m.

Participants will get commemorative medals with the event's name and date in Arabic and English. The medals are spherical in design, representing the globe, with figures running around it—an icon of global participation in sport and a fitting homage to Global Running Day.

World Bicycle Day, June 1

The following day, the cycling tour will last two hours and begin at 6:00 a.m. Medals for the day are designed in the shape of a bicycle encircling the globe to represent the spirit of World Bicycle Day and global unity through riding.
