In a post on its official X account, WFP stressed the critical need for a continuous and daily flow of aid trucks into Gaza. The region has been suffering from a deepening humanitarian crisis since Israel closed its border crossings on March 2.
WFP emphasized that simply allowing aid into Gaza is only the first step. The programme highlighted the importance of having the capacity to transport and distribute food within the territory safely and without delays.
Reiterating the urgency, WFP stated that families in Gaza are still facing famine conditions and called for immediate, sustained action to ensure food and aid reach those in need.
